Economic and technology aspects of sustainable development to be discussed at congress

IX International Congress ‘Sustainable Development and Production Lifecycles’ will be held in the framework of St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum and Russian Industrialist International Forum held September 28-30 at Lenexpo exhibition complex. The congress, a most influential in the area, will be held in Russia for the first time under the auspices of Physics Nobel prizewinner academician Zhores Alferov.

The Congress is held under the auspices of the International Academy for Production Engineering and it is a major leading international event on the area of sustainable development of manufacturing, technology and energy production. The Congress will be hosted by Russia for the first time. Before it was held in Birmingham, Berlin, Shanghai, Sao Paulo, Rochester, Pusan, Madras, Abu-Dabi.

The Congress will be attended by hundreds of participants from research and business circles, as well as public organizations from the US, China, Canada, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Norway, Sweden, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, and Russia. The participants will discuss problems of production sustainable development in Russia, comprehensive use of waste and recycling of resources, innovations in renewable energy sources and other topical issues.

There will be two sections at the Congress, dedicated to both economic and technology issues of production sustainable development.
